How to use this mileage calculator
Enter your business or gig miles, the rate per mile you want to use, tolls and parking, and any reimbursement already paid. You can also enter fuel price and miles per gallon to estimate out-of-pocket fuel cost for the trip or shift.
How to calculate mileage reimbursement
Multiply business or gig miles by the rate per mile, then add related trip costs such as tolls and parking. Subtract any reimbursement already paid to estimate the remaining amount. If you enable round trip, the calculator doubles the entered miles before calculating the value, which is useful when you entered one-way distance only.
What rate per mile should I use?
Use the rate that applies to your situation, such as an employer reimbursement rate, platform rate, or a tax mileage rate. Because rates change, this calculator leaves the rate field editable.

Why track gig driving costs?
Delivery, rideshare, and side-job driving can include fuel, tolls, parking, maintenance, and depreciation. A quick mileage estimate helps you understand whether a job or shift was worth the driving expense. The true net earnings result is especially useful after a delivery block or appointment because it separates gross mileage value from the out-of-pocket cost of actually driving.
Common mileage tracking mistakes
Drivers often forget deadhead miles, return miles, parking, tolls, or the fuel used between jobs. Another common mistake is mixing reimbursement planning with tax deduction planning. This calculator can help with either estimate, but your records, employer policy, platform rules, and tax situation determine which number is actually usable.
Records to keep with mileage estimates
Save the date, destination or route, business purpose, odometer reading or app trip record, tolls, parking, and any amount already reimbursed. Screenshots can help with gig work, but a consistent written or exported log is usually easier to review later.
This tool is an estimate for planning and comparison. It is not tax, legal, or accounting advice, and it does not decide whether a trip qualifies for reimbursement or deduction.
